Its a awesome app

Crashes

Tried to look a national hurricane outlook & app crashes. Please fix

Glitches in app

When Im alerted to a story & I go to the app to read the story, when I try to pull it up (or any other story) the app shuts down. Its basically useless.

Why do you track Pacific storms?

This is a good app when there is an active hurricane season and storms are within our "Cone of Uncertainty". I find it very helpful then. However, I am perplexed by the fact that they even bother with Pacific Hurricanes. I have, on occasion, opened the app to find a named storm and begin to go into panic mode, only to then realize it is on the other side of the country. It is completely irrelevant. That would be like tracking Cyclones in Thailand on the app.

Doesnt work

I dont think it works. Even when their TV newscast says there is a chance of a depression becoming a storm the threat meter remains at 0. The online videos often play without sound. This app worked two years ago.

Maps too small

The maps and media are too small. You need to enable users to enlarge or zoom in on maps/pictures, etc. so you can see projected track closer. This app is totally useless without that. For the graphics/paths from the Hurricane Center, you cant zoom up on the writing or map legends. The maps need to be interactive.

Map is too small

Basically they tried to load too many bells & whistles & got nada. The map is too small to read & you cant enlarge it. You would think with the big push they are giving the app on air they would first make sure it was readable. Big waste

Alerts Great for non-TV Enthusiast

Since I will sometimes go days without watching television, this APP with its Alerts is great for someone like me. Also, WDSU with its experienced weather personnel is the best in the business and leaves other hurricane centers in the dust! One squirrelly thing about this App is that you have to click on News to get the Weather!
